History of The WorkBank

The first WorkBank was opened in 1998 with the aim of assisting companies to access the skills and abilities present within modern Universities. Whilst meeting the needs of business, The WorkBank is committed to ensuring that students' academic and financial welfare is professionally supported. Today, the WorkBank has evolved to offer 3 service divisions: temporary recruitment, graduate recruitment and contract graduate recruitment.

Each WorkBank office supports their host University by providing a financial contribution from each temporary hour worked and each graduate placed. Using The WorkBank as a recruitment partner, clients gain access to a wide variety of technical skills offered by the student population and directly contribute to the development of Universities.

The WorkBank Recruitment Service Divisions

Temporary Recruitment - The temporary division works with local businesses to provide temporary staff on short or long-term assignments. This flexible, on-demand service can meet shortfalls in staffing at any time and caters for a variety of requirements, both skilled and unskilled.

Permanent Recruitment - The permanent division works with graduates to realise their potential within business. Focused on meeting the demands of business on a local and national scale, The WorkBank consults with its clients to provide graduates with the skills to succeed in their business. The WorkBank works with newly qualified graduates and those with experience in their chosen area, allowing clients access to graduates with a proven record of success. This division also covers the recruitment of industrial and commercial placement students.

Contract Graduate Recruitment - The contract division provides a total solution to graduate recruitment: attraction, selection and retention. The WorkBank works closely with clients, enabling us to recruit to find the skills required for succession planning and for technical roles. With knowledge of the higher education sector The WorkBank is ideally positioned to target the best graduates in higher education.
