Senior Auditor

Our Client is recruiting for a professional to provide support to individuals and businesses in a wide range of sectors including; professional practices, not for profit, academies manufactures and many more areas.
Working within a team to maintain a high quality service to a variety of clients, the tasks will include:
Field work, planning, and completion of statutory audits in a variety of industries, including substantial groups.
Statutory accounts under UK GAAP, including FRS102.
Overseeing audit teams on site to deliver and complete on time and targeted budget
Make sure compliance work is planned at the right time, using allocated staff and providing supervision.
Assess work in progress and fee budgets on monthly basis, reporting discrepancies from billing target to senior team. Pre-completion meetings with managers/directors/partners and completion meetings with clients on timely basis.
Manage own fee targets, prepare own budgets and bills for manager/partner approval.
Clear communication instructions to staff on assignments and ensure they are managed and provided with feedback using the Firms IPD framework documentation.
To maintaining standards of personal organisation, leading from example to more junior members of staff.
Ideal candidate match:
Experience of CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation or Cloud Based Accounting Software would be beneficial, however full training will be provided. A minimum of 2 years audit and accounts experience in an accountancy practice.
ACA/ACCA qualification or be nearly qualified / qualified by experience (or similar).
Strong technical knowledge of Auditing and Financial Reporting Standards.
Experience in developing client relationships and understanding client service standards.
Excellent organisational, planning and IT skills.
A strong commercial awareness.
The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriately.
Exceptional attention to detail.
